Buckminster Fuller Challenge; welcome new interns
Scott Francisco — April 10, 2014
Our team just completed a submission to the prestigious Buckminster Fuller Challenge, a global contest that awards whole systems approaches to understanding and resolving complex problems for broad social and environmental impact. For this challenge we submitted our Essex Street GreenHub project conceived as a national project that would convert old municipal parking garages into civic centers for bicycle parking, community gardening, solar energy collection, and community workspace.
We are also pleased to have three new interns with us! Franziska Grimm and Andrew Renninger join us from Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, and Mary-Martha Gaienne joins us from Rutgers University's Urban Planning Master's Program. So glad to have you all on board!
