from Yangon to Takeleak

March in Myanmar

This March I’ll be representing Pilot Projects Foundation on a trip into central Burma with my father, Bruce Francisco. We will be visiting a orphanage and school in the Shan region that my dad has been supporting since a trip to the Thai-Burma border in 2009. The project is the effort of a young pastor from the region who saw many children with no family or prospects for education, and decided to create a school and a home for them. He has since adopted about 18 children most of whom are now able to attend the state school with the financial and family support of the mission. As for us, we’re looking forward to some father-son time, exploring this amazing land, meeting the children, documenting their story and helping out with the work for a little while. I am hopeful I will get to work with bamboo again!

If you would like to know more about or support this work near Takeleak, Burma please write to us.

I am looking forward to meeting these guys, although they look pretty tough.
