Mega Ideas: In conversation with Kenneth Frampton
Scott Francisco — June 20, 2014
I was honored a few weeks ago to engage architecture historian Kenneth Frampton in a wide-ranging conversation on many topics Pilot Projects cares greatly about:
- the future and potential of architecture to express and support human thriving
- the perils of over-reliance on optimization and market systems for development
- "megaforms" vs. "megastructures"
- and what we should teach to the next generation of architects
Among other things!
The conversation was recorded and a full transcript is in progress; stay tuned for publication in the fall. We look forward to many more conversations like this.
