News Desk
When a major network news show decided it needed to change the way their producer team interacted, they had one non-negotiable top-down stipulation to contend with. Instead of having their noses in their monitors, everybody who was invited to sit at the news desk had to be willing and able to make eye-contact. The solution? A big beautiful Baltic birchwood table with room for 8 comfortably (10 in a pinch), computers off the table and housed in custom-designed movable carts, and a boss satisfied that her staff can collaborate without the constant distraction that ubiquitous technology so often brings. Newspapers, coffee and conversation are always welcome.
